spiritual warfare

I'm going through a navigators discipleship book with another married man from church. He is a huge blessing because he is cool, young and solid. This isn't to say uncool old people who are... liquid? aren't a blessing but I just really appreciate how he can speak into my life and share wisdom from marriage and life... Aaaaanyways

One of the questions in our book was "what are similarities between spiritual warfare and a physical military battle?"

This question made us think about the preparation, training, vision and strategy that goes into a war. But one thing opened my eyes to something I've never considered before: In battle soldiers look out for the other soldiers in their troops right? They are constantly keeping their eyes open and watching each others back in case the enemy tries to hit them from behind. If they aren't unified disaster could occur on the battlefield.

Well that made me think about spiritual warfare in the same way. I should keep my eyes open watching for where the enemy might try to attack. Earlier in the study we talked about a bunch of passages that highlight how Satan attacks.

When Jesus was in the wilderness he tempted him with food and power. Adam and Eve were attacked with lies. The enemy started by planting doubt in their mind... Interesting eh?

Not only should I wear spiritual armor to protect myself, but I should also consider how I could help the body out
