we're having a 'pod' decorating contest at work for christmas... i work in an open concept 'pod' style office with four desks and a little table in the middle... i might post some pictures when its all decorated.. but i wanted to post some of the stuff i made on my breaks and lunches over the last few days!
our theme for our pod is 'green' so i've been making stuff out of recycled paper, newspapers, old file folders, old brochures and whatever was sitting around the office!
i started with the usual- paper link chains...
but then made a wreath!... its made of an old file folder as the base, and then i chopped up some old brochures that were sitting around.
the bow is made from a yellow napkin that was sitting on my boss' desk
and then my coolest creation... it started with a file folder that i made into a cone...
then, after chopping up a free Metro newspaper, and using a little glue- a GREEN christmas tree!
the trunk is made from made a coffee sleeve from my morning coffee Monday from Francescos in the Glebe. to stand the tree up i stuffed the top with the leftover newspaper bits and used masking tape to fasten it together.
the star is made from chopped up pieces of the Metro paper!
what can YOU make with stuff sitting around your office to spread some christmas cheer? dun dun dunnnnn
